The Life and Times of the Family Saga
This type of literature records the history of the lives and events of a particular family, often over the course of several generations. Often several interconnected families, such as neighbors or friends, are included within the family saga. By reading this type of literature you can get a glimpse into the ups and downs, betrayals and reconciliations, and everyday occurrences in a particular family. Often a family saga will dramatically illustrate how the actions of grand or even great grand parents can have a profound effect on the generations to follow. While some family sagas all take place in a particular town or geographical area many others span the globe as they tell the story.
